Intense Debate, you failed me for the last time...

First it was the ccTLD error that prevented people from other countries from posting on the site (fixed after a long time). Then it was the missing post counter (which still hasn't been fixed for a couple of months). Now it was a persistent timed out error that prevented me from posting on my own blog.

I've had enough. I've never liked the blogger's default commenting system, but it least it works perfectly. Guess this means I'll be losing all of my past comments.

Opps, with my crazy new schedule, I didn't realize that I've not blogged for nearly a month. Well, I've actually not watch any anime for nearly a month now, and I think that uncomfortable feeling must be the withdrawal effects from anime. But hey, that's because I'm busy saving the galaxy for you people.

I'm itching to get back into this, but I need to nab me that quarian ass first.


P.S. I got chosen to participate in the AniTourney as well, but with all the downtime, it'll be hilarious if I can make it past the first round, LOL.

New Year (Anime) Resolutions, Site Update, Anniversary, Changes, and gosh, I don't know what I'm talking about

First of all, Akemashite omedetou minna-san! May we all have a good year ahead of us. Well, 2011 is a pretty bad year for anime, to me at least. Except for the best-sellers, I can't even say confidently that I loved all of my top 12 picks. As long as we're not all going to die, 2012 would definitely be better. I hope.

Well, this would be a tl;dr rant. I hate posts like that, truly, and I almost never read tl;dr anyway unless it's MAY, so if you're anything like me you should bounce now, really. The above paragraph is all that is for this post. My head is now full of shit (again, sorry for the excessive expletives in this post) and I just need to get stuff out before I can continue blogging like I want to.

I just realized that editing older entries would re-publish the post on Google Reader and similar readers. Which I did pretty often. No problems for Anime Nano, though.

A lil blog update...

A minor disruption to the blogging schedule. Spent most of my free time in the last 10 days replaying Mass Effect 2 with all the DLC I haven't tried, and now I've got more than 10 episodes waiting to be watched. After seeing the new Mass Effect 3 trailers, can't wait for the game to be released.

We're at the end of the season, and I regret to say that I've not completed the Spring 2011 reviews yet. Gonna spend the next couple of days to finish them up...

Anyway, it seems like Steins;Gate ended up being one of the the most watched and most talked-about series of the season (and probably the year). I've dropped the show on its first episode because I'd prefer to marathon stuff like these. I plan to give it a shot soon, and see if actually rival Madoka.

In another news, all the K-ON girls got trashed in the first round of Saimoe. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

New Blog!

Although the previous blog is still some sort of (overdue) test, I'm not exactly happy with how it turned out... I mean, I ended up writing a lot of stuff I've never meant to, and in the end it became more work than play. So this would be my much needed restart.

I wanted the new blog on wordpress though, but the lack of interesting free themes and customizations irks me. I settled on the very common twenty-ten theme, but I hate sans font and wordpress doesn't allow me to get rid of it. Well, I'm too used to blogger, so screw it, I'll stick to it.

The First Post

Why now?

Well, why not ever?

Well, primarily I am used to keep track of what anime I've watched by writing a (considerably) short review of it on anime-source.com (I think my review count is one of the reason I ended staffing there) and that was before MAL. Now that Anime-Source's systems are getting cranky and lacking tech support, my first intention is to shift all my reviews to MAL... which my reviews are being "less than helpful" there. Pff. While I agree most of my reviews did not deliver what someone would hope to look for in an anime review (I often get lost in my train of thoughts), I must say I am not please that somehow, some lamer reviews got a higher "helpful" score than mine. Maybe people ended voting if they've agreed on the opinions of the review instead of being "helpful", since I must say I usually do not have a very common opinion.

...Which is also why I chose this theme; or style of writing because like I've said earlier, I got lost in my train of thoughts rather easily. Describing my opinions in short paragraphs or in point form should work for me and I will like to see how that will turn out. I am a pretty visual speaker anyway, judging by my job at Anime-Source is 80% photoshopping. Keeping my posts short is also partly because I hated tl;dr posts and its scary how some really serious bloggers spent so much time writing that they've actually lost their social life.

The reason for the name means each post will be just a minute of my opinions. Of course, one minute is just figuratively speaking; but the intention is there. I do not plan to take up more than a couple of minute of the reader's time with each post.
